A nice room with a microwave, small fridge and Kurig coffee machine. There were plenty of travel cups and coffee, decaf or tea. The bed was quite comfortable and the robes were fabulous. Continental breakfast was good - typical for these kinds of hotels. Snack machines on our floor had a malfunctioning row and the soda machine had only sprite, ginger ale flavoured coke. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.
Location is convenient, near the nice parks in Orillia and connected to a trail. Staff was very courteous and polite. Moderately clean. Building and the surrounding lot however, is dated. The paving immediately outside the hotel has a lot of potholes; some maintenance is due there. AC units also smell like they need some cleaning. I found the lighting to be also a little dark relative to modern standards. WiFi works well, complimentary Keurig units are a nice plus, and the hot tub is also nice. Breakfast is excellent.
Really friendly staff. Breakfast was decent.Rate could be a bit better. Can't control the AC in the room. Comfortable bed. Overall great stay.
The hotel was nice, and the room was clean. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The curtains did not cover the whole window, which resulted in an earlier than intended wake-up. The shuttle to the casino used to be free, but now costs $10 (plus tax) per person. The breakfast was disappointing. Paper plates and plastic utensils were used. The room set-up needs to be improved. (Guests were crowding the doorway, waiting in lines to get food, to toast their bread, or to make their own waffle.) It has potential, but improvements are definitely required. The WiFi was quick and reliable.
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It would have been good to know that in one section of the hotel if you ask for a higher floor , there are no elevators and you have to carry your suitcases upstairs. This is difficult for older people or those with mobility issues. The other section has an elevator, or you can request a main floor room. It would have been appreciated if this was made clear. Breakfast room showed an espresso maker , but it did not function and this was disappointing. Breakfast room staff were very pleasant.
