Terrible customer service. I have been lied to and misled by them. I purchased a G23 2016 boat in mid-July. To be fair, I informed the salesperson that it would be my first boat and that I lacked experience, which is why I preferred to purchase from a dealership. I specifically requested that they find me a well-maintained boat. Only after a week of delivery did I notice a hair crack on the floor. The fact that they sold me the boat without informing me about the crack was not only unpleasant but also unacceptable. After months and multiple phone calls with Luke (salesperson), I finally had the opportunity to speak with Joe (location manager). There was a noticeable attitude over the phone during our conversation, but ultimately, we reached an agreement that Joe would pick up my boat, take it to the shop, and fix it. He would then claim that the repair would be covered under warranty (which I was unaware of and had expected to be handled by the dealership). Additionally, he assured me that he would ensure that the repairs are completed by the end of the boating season. After multiple attempts to reach out to Joe, I finally convinced him to visit the boat and review a list of repairs I had requested. Some of the repairs were under warranty, while others were not (according to Joe’s statement). After reviewing the list, I inquired if he should create a written list, but his response was that he had them memorized and did not need to worry (which was not professional or appropriate). Joe informed me that the shop was full and that he could not take the boat until spring. If I waited until spring, he would claim warranty and take the boat to the shop for free. He made numerous promises, but after five months, he informed me that the warranty would not cover the repairs. When I inquired about the cost of repairing the crack that Pride Marine is not taking responsibility for, he responded with $500. He also stated that we would not take responsibility because the boat is only 10 years old. This situation constitutes a scam, as they sold a $150,000 boat to me without disclosing the hair crack and without taking responsibility for the repairs.
I've been in the sales industry for 30 years, and I can honestly say I've never encountered a salesperson quite like Luke Sallows.. At such a young age, he stands out as that one-in-a-hundred individual who truly makes a difference. Luke doesn’t just sell; he builds genuine relationships with his clients, making the entire experience the best I've ever had and seamless. I would highly recommend Luke to anyone including all my family and friends, because his dedication and care are truly exceptional. Great job, Luke—thank you so much for all your help! I'll be seeing you again. Todd
Sales person was good to deal with but my positive experience ends there. I put my deposit down in Dec and when I wanted to pick the boat up in May it wasn’t ready. Missed 2 weeks of boating, no big deal. When the boat was delivered it had no fuel, the speed control transducer had been damaged moving the boat from their trailer to my trailer, so no ability to use the GPS speed control for surfing or skiing. Then upon further inspection I find the boat is leaking. Turns out the heater core is cracked. To add insult to injury I am having excessive white smoke (hopefully steam) out of the exhaust. I am hopeful this is an air leak somewhere and not a head gasket. When purchasing I was assured the boat had a full inspection with no areas of concern. I have contacted Pride multiple times and the only person to respond is my sales guy who promises someone will be in touch. I’ve had the boat for almost a month now with no response/communication from Pride about these issues. Spending $75k might be small peanuts to some but it is not to me and my expectation is to receive a purchase of that amount in working condition. Mistakes happen, I just expected them to correct them and not ghost me. I’m very frustrated and disappointed. Seems there is no “Pride” at this company. Buyer beware, there is no service after your sale.
Was not happy that they replaced our stereo amplifier and threw it in the garbage even after we requested it be kept for us. The credit that was promised was never received even after several phones calls. They just keep saying they will review it and they never get back to us. After spending $2000 on an oil change and stereo upgrade, if this is customer service I would not recommend Pride Marina.
Pride has a new service manager, Jarrod, who has worked very diligently to bring a successful resolution to the deficiencies on our Chapparal. It to 18months to resolve the cosmetic damage on our brand new Chapparal. Most of the challenge was with Chapparal. I thank Jarrod for his thoroughness and determination to look after this and get it done. For this reason, I am changing the rating for Pride from 2 stars to 4 stars. My prior post was: Service used to be good here at the orillia Location, however, it has deteriorated greatly. They don't return Calls even after they deliver a boat with animal damage in the Spring. And they delivered the boat brand new with cosmetic damage. And neither they nor Chaparral are fixing the defects
Bought new 330 Sea Ray Sundancer in 2017. Control panel not working and after calling and being told to e mail, then e mail not responded to I was told the control panel that operates, trim tabs, hatch, anchor, bilge blower and pump is no longer being made. I get this is Searay but their response to me....you're on your own. Check Ebay! Six year old half million dollar boat and cant find the part with ZERO help from these guys. Terrible experience from the beginning and should have ran from the get go with the way the sales experience went. Thanks for nothing. Jeff Smith
Lied to, mislead, drove 3,000 kms to pick up a boat only to find thousands in damage not disclosed and it sitting on a trailer too short for the boat! DON'T recommend doing business with them!!! I work too hard to give my patronage to these types of businesses.
