Very nice, understanding and discrete people involved. After suffering a devastating financial loss it is nice to know that there are people like the Sharing Place to support you so you can get back on track.
Today was my first time here and I was so impressed with the friendly welcome. Everyone was so accommodating with no judgment. They were all very organized and compassionate.As a single senior it was comforting. Unfortunately, we do not always plan to be in certain situations but it’s reassuring to know that there is someone to help during those times. Thank you very much …. Teresa Letourneau
When our family had to access the food bank we were welcomed by the staff. Great and kind helpful staff. We look forward to using your services and look forward to coming back next month. It would be nice if more was offered for children's meals then for adults just a suggestion.
I could go on for quite a list of the times and people the "Sharing Place" has really HELP OUT BIG time. I would like to sed an extra special word of gratitude to Bruce for helping Me in a real difficult time. May GOD bless them all and Thier efforts to help those in need. The range and quality of the food is that, most could not afford to buy such Fresh and Quality food that most 'food banks' could not supply. I was even fortunate enough to share My story about how I came to be i need of help when Shawna stund Me by remembering My name when I felt like just a number in the local paper when it was still paper. My Best friend Al recently passed away, was a volontier and loved iot and the people till He got too sick. They "CARE" about People for real.
I've always wondered why the food at the food banks are always out dated or on the verge of being bad. No one says anything because they think its disrespectful. is it not disrespectful to give poor people the bottom of the barrel type food. Very rarely do you see fresh food from all the food banks in Orillia.
I haven't had to use the sharing place I a while, but when I do I always am very thankful for the help they provide. I couldn't ask for a better place and better people.
Such lovely volunteers. A VERY generous "4 day supply"is given. I'm sure it will last a whole week. Every month can get an another 4 day supply. Great variety including fresh bread!
